A thienyl‐benzodithiophene‐based two‐dimensional conjugated covalent organic framework for fast photothermal conversion

چکیده
Two-dimensional conjugated covalent organic frameworks (2D c-COFs) are emerging semiconductor materials for optoelectronic and photothermal applications. In particular, the highly tailorable, semiconducting thiophene-based 2D c-COFs have attracted considerable interest due to their nontrivial physicochemical properties such as photo-activity, broad optical absorption, tunable electronic structures, so forth. Herein, we demonstrate a novel, crystalline c-COF based on thienyl-functionalized benzodithiophene (BDT) biphenyl (BP) via Schiff-base polycondensation reaction. The resultant BDT-BP-COF exhibits absorption up ca. 600 nm decent π-conjugation along polymer skeleton, revealed by theoretical calculations. favorable abundant electron-rich thiophene units confer excellent photo-activity towards usage of solar energy. As proof-of-concept application, explore in conversion, which it shows fast surface-temperature increase upon light irradiation seconds.

A Photoresponsive Smart Covalent Organic Framework**
Ordered π-columnar structures found in covalent organic frameworks (COFs) render them attractive as smart materials. However, external-stimuli-responsive COFs have not been explored. Here we report the design and synthesis of a photoresponsive COF with anthracene units as the photoresponsive π-building blocks. The COF is switchable upon photoirradiation to yield a concavo-convex polygon skeleto...
متن کاملWeaving of organic threads into a crystalline covalent organic framework.
A three-dimensional covalent organic framework (COF-505) constructed from helical organic threads, designed to be mutually weaving at regular intervals, has been synthesized by imine condensation reactions of aldehyde functionalized copper(I)-bisphenanthroline tetrafluoroborate, Cu(PDB)2(BF4), and benzidine (BZ). The copper centers are topologically independent of the weaving within the COF str...

متن کاملRoom Temperature Synthesis of Covalent–Organic Framework Films through Vapor-Assisted Conversion
We describe the facile synthesis of several two-dimensional covalent-organic frameworks (2D COFs) as films by vapor-assisted conversion at room temperature. High-quality films of benzodithiophene-containing BDT-COF and COF-5 with tunable thickness were synthesized under different conditions on various substrates. BDT-COF films of several micrometer thickness exhibit mesoporosity as well as text...

The imine linkages of two layered, porous covalent organic frameworks (COFs), TPB-TP-COF ([C6H3(C6H4N)3]2[C6H4(CH)2]3, 1) and 4PE-1P-COF ([C2(C6H4N)4][C6H4(CH)2]2, 2), have been transformed into amide linkages to make the respective isostructural amide COFs 1' and 2' by direct oxidation with retention of crystallinity and permanent porosity. Remarkably, the oxidation of both imine COFs is compl...
